So I just read the early access for sub owners will NOT include the monthly 2013 figures, just old stock. Is my memory failing me or was an early crack at monthly 2013 figures some of the chum Matty promised potential sub holders as a benefit of signing up? Admittedly I may be remebering incorrectly, but I was fairly certain early crack at the 2013 sub figures was promised because I seem to recall the backlash of fans at the time and the Matty threat that figures like Ram man may not even be available for non sub holders by the time the 15th sale started. Thanks to anyone who can set the record straight.

On a side note...of all the licenses the 4H could pick up, they pick up the Power Lords? I have no doubt that the 4H will make these figures as cool as possible, but in a world were Thundercats can't survive, I'm guessing there were a ton of other licenses that would fair better...Silverhawks, Tigarsharks, Inhumaniods, Visionaries, Blackstar, COPS, Dinosaucers and Sectaurs all come to mind. I'm even thinking the Streetsharks (after seeing them again on Robot Chicken) would have been better then Power Lords in the hands of the 4H. The only one I could potentially see being in direct conflict with MOTUC (more so then Power Lords) is Blackstar. I understand that some of these lines may have been too expensive or complicated but surely not all of them. I guess I'm happy Eric Treadaway gets to bring one of his dreams to life, but I'm not certain this license would be better received then some of the other licenses I mentioned.

.

I can't speak to the relative popularity of those lines, but if I were a 4H-level sculptor I personally would be more interested in trying my hand at the Power Lords than most of the others. My interest in C.O.P.S. and Visionaries would mostly be in figuring out how to update each line's signature action features.

Will the 4H Powerlords be retail or on Mattycollector?

They'll be through the 4H themselves, so via their Store Horsemen site and probably a few exclusives at conventions, like the Outer Space Men.

The example Toyguru used when describing the early access items was that Batman figure with the articulated internal skeleton, something that's new but is not part of any subscription. They just don't have anything like that for sale in the first month of the year.

Yeah it was NEVER to include the Sub Figures. People just THOUGHT it would include those figures, even though Matty repeatedly said it would not.

If you think about it, it makes sense. If a Sub let you have Early Access to Sub figures, then there would be no reason to buy more than one sub. You'd just buy the Watchmen Sub or whatever was the cheapest, then Cherry Pick Figures out of the Subs that you didn't subscribe to.

What it's meant for is for SDCC stuff, the Ghostbuster props, Granymyr, etc.

Thanks for clearing that up. Smile

I see the logic from a cherry pick stand point, but I suspect the higher cost on sale day and separate shipping cost (instead of combined shipping for more than one sub) on additional items would have brought SOME balance to that equation.
