Don't think I ever before wanted the BAF and not even 1 of the figures in the set before until now. Couldn't they have given us 1 or 2 Alpha Flight member. Guardian, Aurora and Northstar would be so cheap. Just a new head on a generic buck.

Yeah--I'm sad in this one. Would love Puck and a full Alpha Flight, but have no desire for the figures needed to build Puck.
I would have preferred an updated Jim Lee Rogue, which I've been waiting for since the original Toy Biz fiasco Rogue, and an updated Jim Lee Cyclops before the two that are being released. I do not like this Rogue uniform at all. It reminds me of some type of waitress uniform and the green seems to be too dark.
Emma's outfit seems odd. What's with the little hoop around her waist?
And I agree that multiple Alpha Flight members should have been in the assortment with a BAF Puck.
Personally, I don't think Puck even merited BAF status. He should have been packed in with another figure as the "accessory," so to speak. Box would make a better BAF. Could have been a 6-figure Alpha-themed set with 5 BAF parts and Puck assigned to the 6th figure.
I mean, to me, the point of the BAFs wasn't just the additional figure, but also the ability to do larger scale figures that, if sold assembled, would require different packaging--packaging out of scale with the rest of the line--and demand retailers set aside additional shelf space. Puck and Hit Monkey are just missed opportunities in that regard. I love classic Alpha Flight, but I have no interest in that set just to acquire Puck.
I don't 'get' why Hasbro picked Puck at all. It's not like there's a bunch of other Marvel Legends-scaled Alpha Flight figures to display him with. He seems like a really bizarre choice to use as an incentive.
My guess is it's because he is in the core X-Force group in the current Uncanny X-Force comics.
This is pure speculation and could be coincidental but with the announcement of Peter Dinklage being added to the cast of the Future Past movie, Puck could be getting a cinematic push of sorts. It's about the only thing that makes sense to me. Sure, the toys would have had to be in production a while back but Puck may have been in film plans for a while.
I have almost never built the BAFs (nor the CnCs) because I refuse to buy a bunch of toys I don't want to get one toy I do want. I have resigned myself to never own Puck. Oh well. F that.
I an just the opposite. I love the X-Men, but I despise Alpha Flight. This will be the first time in a LONG time I will be getting a complete set of action figures and not give a damn about the BAF. Meh
I'll take em! I like Xmean but more 60s, 70s early 80s fan.
