I didn't see it, but I have a felling Net Flicks is disapointed. The last thing I heard was they were not giving the figures for how many people had downloaded the program. Did you like it?
The new season starts a bit slow. A lot of that has to do with trying to create a jumping on point for new viewers who didn't watch or don't remember the first three seasons. So it takes a little time to introduce all of the new story lines and get them up to speed. It also has to do with how they structured the season, focusing on one character per episode and filling in the overall storyline as each character's portion is added in. So for the first few episodes, you only get a little of the total cast.
But after about three or for episodes, things are back on track and it's a fun watch.
FYI, there's a fan made re-cut of the entire season floating around that edits all scenes/perspectives together in chronological order. The editor incorporates almost all footage from the season in 12 re-cut episodes, only leaving out redundant footage.
This fixes the pacing problem that season 4 suffers from, as each episode contains quicker cuts across multiple perspectives, making it feel more like an episode from season 1-3.
Try to find a torrent if you can, as big scenes featuring all characters and their perspectives (e.g. police station, meeting at Lucille penthouse) are really fun to watch!
I found season 4 somewhat dissatisfying. Too many plot threads were left dangling. I didn't feel like any of the stories had any resolution. Setting up another season or a movie? Maybe, but it felt like they did 15 episodes and just quit, rather than *finishing*.
I've really enjoyed it so far (watched the first three episodes). =)
Yes... and It's fantastic.
