I'm slowly selling off a lot of my stuff, like 5 auctions at a time type things so I don't get overwhelmed. Everything's selling but it seems like each time with at least 2 out of the 5, the people use the Buy it Now but then wait like a week to pay for it. And yes I'm opening cases after two days because I'm sick of it.
It can't just be me, right?
This has happened to me about the same amount of buyers you mentioned. Maybe this is considered "normal" I don't know. But when I buy I usually pay less than 24 hours. I have configured eBay to open a case automatically if payment has not been sent after a period of time. Have you tried that?
Eh, I'm taking a few steps. Just very irritated that I even have to.
The newest incident was a guy using BiN and then a day later emailing me to say he would be paying in A WEEK AND A DAY!
I emailed him back and thanked him for the note but pointed out that over a week was ridiculous, that ebay policy is 2 days but if he needs a couple extra days that's fine but I would not let a week go by. I held back on pointing out that if he doesn't have the money now I don't see how a week would make spending $25 on a toy suddenly a good idea. He threw back at me the irrelevant statistic that he's been doing business on ebay since 2000 (I've been on ebay since 1998 making his statistic even less relevant) and that it's my responsibility to say in the auction my terms, to which I once again pointed out that since eBay's own policy is 2 days, if I don't say anything otherwise then 2 days is what should be expected.
All in all his horrible-money-managing-@$$ acted like I was the bad guy the whole time. So auction cancelled, buyer blocked, item relisted now with about 5 or 6 different settings to keep from having to deal with f'ing idiots.
