Talked with a guy at my local toy store the other day about a couple of scalpers. The conversation got very interesting when he mentioned one guy is banned from the store because he was caught returning figures with older figures in their place and missing accessories. Think Wrasslin'.

What is it about this hobby that makes people feel the need to steal and con others?

Thing is, I've bought stuff from them before. NOT the high priced current stuff but older used figures mostly. Not anymore.

It's the economy, man. People are struggling to get by. Sometimes, you just gotta' repack a figure so you can afford some Big Macs.

It's even worse on the streets.

I don't know if I can chalk that up to a bad economy or people trying to make due with less.
I think a lot of it is just somebody who wants to take advantage and get something for nothing. Even at the $15 dollar level. It's a scumbag move.
