I ordered them all (except Thor) last week from tru.com. The box arrived yesterday, and I was very pleased to see that I got the variants for Steve, Ghost Rider and Iron Man. Steve is a bit too big and Iron Man a bit too small, but they're not bad. I like the energy shield, and I like Ghost Rider with orange flames instead of blue. Why the blue flames in the first place?

And I haven't looked at my old Marvel Legends in a while, but is Hope Summers the first female ML that is actually pretty? She's got a very nice face sculpt, I was surprised.

Agreed. Marvel officially lists Terrax as 6 ft., 6 in. tall...

...but in his initial appearances, at least (Fantastic Four, Dazzler, ROM), he wasn't ever drawn as a really tall guy. :b

I ordered most of these last week from TRU and they are starting to trickle in. I got Ghost Rider yesterday (blue version) and I like the packaging. He was apparently back-ordered but still managed to arrive before any of the others.

The strange thing is that he was shipped alone - in a bubble mailer envelope. Even stranger - he arrived completely intact with no bends to the card or crushes to the bubble.

I really like to clean and simple package design and that it is efficient. The card isn't too big and neither is the bubble. A very nice design, but generally I think Hasbro has very nice packaging for carded figures (like MU and SW).

Picked up Constrictor. Really cool figure.

I really wish they'd retire the "puny buck" that Klaw uses - it's totally out of scale unless used for a teen character like Toro or somebody.

I've only seen these at Toys R Us so far. Has anyone spotted these at Wal-Mart or Target yet?

Are they still only on the west coast. Haven't seem them in Tx yet.

They are in the east too. New York State TRUs have them.

My buddy in Nashville tried the OAFE trick and they told him they couldn't bring them from the back. So then why have those stock scanners for customer use?

My store apparently has them in stock, but punching in the DCPI on my hand scanner doesn't locate them for some reason.

Quick review now that I've opened them all (but Thor) and built Terrax...

They're all solid figures, with Steve Rogers and Terrax the overall standouts; both have outstanding head sculpts, in particular. Only demerits would be Steve's lack of holsters and Terrax's inability to hold his axe in both hands. Steve is also quite tall, but I sort of like the idea of him being a really big guy. Peak of human physical potential, and all that (though I know Marvel lists him as 6'2"). Terrax is significantly taller than the 6'6" Marvel lists him to be but, again, I like the idea of him being a bigger, Darkseidian, figure.

Constrictor is very good, but feels slightly dated with the older buck. Another really nice head sculpt, though.

I really like Klaw, too, but he's a bit too small. Not prohibitively so, though, so still a really good, and long overdue, figure. More Fantastic Four characters, please.

Ghost Rider is well sculpted and painted, but the added plastic to complete his outfit significantly restricts the articulation and, hey, I'm not really a Ghost Rider fan, so, next.

(Stealth, in my case) Extremis Iron Man is another well-sculpted and painted figure, with well-hidden articulation, but, as with basically all Hasbro's Iron Men, he's far too small. If this were a figure of Ultron, or some other robot, I'd say fine, but think of how small and scrawny Tony would have to be to fit into this armor as the figure is scaled. That's why, to me, Toy Biz Marvel Legends Series 1 Iron Man is still, far and away, the best Iron Man figure, ever. It has the bulk to look like a guy in a metal suit. Perhaps Iron-ically, Hasbro nailed this issue with their Doctor Doom figure which, I think, is the best ever figure of THAT character.

That leaves Hope Summers. Cute face sculpt. Well-painted. Forget getting her to hold the rifle. I know next to nothing about the character.

So, Hope, Tony, and Danny(?) are headed straight to ebay now that I've used them for their Terrax parts. Don't know if I'll pick up Thor, though I don't currently have one.

Would you say the figures share a similarity to Sigma 6? Is the headsculpt realistic in person?

I've seen the Sigma 6 comparison made, particularly with Steve Rogers, but I don't see it. Hasbro's ML body sculpts were always a bit blocky, these are no more so. None of the heads are remotely Sigma 6ish.

*sigh* I miss Sigma 6.

I got hold of the Extremis Iron Man, and it's scale is not that bad. Not as bad as the classic armor in Hasbros 2-pack. It's about the same size as the movie II Mk IV and Mk IV. Which is a little small. But it's not that bad, and it's a really nice toy. Some terrible range of motion in the hips but a nice toy. Happy to get it.

I still think Steve looks a little Sigma 6-ish, but it's not as bad as the online pics make it out to be. In fact, all the figures look much better in person. I even like Klaw, whom I was planning on selling after I snagged the BAF piece.

The thing that makes the Extremis Iron Man figure good for me is being able to get that in-flight pose, with the head tilted all the way back. As soon as I could so that, I was happy. Now I just a stand to hold him that position.
