without a doubt, the most Poignant and kid-friendly movie I’ve watched in a long time. I watched it last night with my seven year-old and not only was it fun and visually engaging, it prompted a great “teachable moment” on the subject of death and mindless violence. And this was quite timely as my son has recently lost two grandparents in the course of nine months.

Two thumbs-up from the Casa De Smitty!

To slant this thread toward toys, let me say that I had several lucky "giant robot" finds at retail back in the day when there were 5-6 local toy stores to haunt...Robotech Alphas, Valks, SDF1...Matchbox Vehicle Voltron...Giant Stealth Voltron...

...but finding that huge Iron Giant toy was an especially fortunate event. They didn't exactly gather dust on the shelves!

Iron Giant & Giant Stealth Voltron are mixing it up on their shelf this very moment! Their respective scales match up well.
