Supposedly, if they get 1000 likes they'll obtain the license.

No, Lego is not.

It is a FAN request, and if they get 10,000 (not 1000) likes, then Lego will look into it.

You can request anything for Lego's new cuooso line, but there are exceptions to anything per Lego's rules. I doubt Lego would pay for the license unless the 3rd movie was coming out soon.
