Or did I just miss the Toy Fair announcement?
I can't say I'll be surprised if they aren't going to support it like they should, just a little disappointed.

I'm actually very confused about this line, as I thought there was a second set with Meg and Death that was supposed to come out within weeks of the first series? If no stores ordered the second set, wouldn't the line have been literally Dead On Arrival by the time the first series was released?
The line was dead from the get go. Its amazing it even came out. Only TRU stores carried them out here. Playmates was 5 years too late on this one.

They should have transitioned into this after the Simpsons line ended, but the show was still "cult status" then. But I definitely agree: 5 years ago, I would've been knocking down the TRU doors to get these. I have a lot of the Mezco ones, but their quality control on the paint was so bad I wish I hadn't bought any but the main family set. The Freakin' Pope figure's blue vestment paint melted off and turned my Art Asylum TOS Spock into Spock/Cable with a big metallic splooge on his eye
Too bad Walmart and Target didn't take a chance on it, after all, the dvd seasons are a mainstay in the video dept. I wasn't expecting a repeat of WOS but I would have loved a few more key characters.

I think their passing on it is justified if these weren't a constant sell out at TRU
I was just wondering about these last week when I saw them on clearance at TRU (or, at least the Living Room set was on clearance by $5). It's too bad that at least the whole Griffin Family will not see the light of day.
The problem is that this series had just had a long run via Mezco, and all the figures that Playmates produced had essentailly already been done.
