Dont know with the toy line as we got all the main characters. But to me CN did exactly what they did with He-Man.
Wait, what?! Was the show really abandoned?! I thought Cartoon Network just started airing new episodes a week or so ago?!
According to CBR, they were supposed to start airing new episodes at the end of March. Did that not happen?
New episodes have been on the last three weekends before Green Lantern.
The new episodes airing now are basically part 2 of season 1. Season 2 wasn't on the latest Cartoon Network list of picked up shows (same with Young Justice, which is similarly showing new episodes as part 2 of season 1).
I didn't get all the major characters in the bigger line... Can't even find a Tigra.
I want to blame CN and their terrible scheduling (same with Young Justice) but maybe kids just never really got into the line... One thing for sure, both Young Justice and Thundercats were basically built for merchandising...
There will be a 10 episode alien invasion themed season of YJ, it was ordered a year ago. So they didn't need to order more, given they are delaying season 1 so much. Kinda like Nickelodeon, "Super Samurai" is just the other half of the Samurai episodes they ordered last year.

I'm trying to find a way to blame Bandai but all I can think of is the scale change in the Classics line, which I doubt phased any kid. Let's compare Thundercats to Power Rangers Samurai, launched months apart. Both featured all the core members of the cast. The figures themselves were decent and more affordable than anything from Hasbro or Mattel. They were well distributed and there were plenty of vehicles and role play toys. I think what it comes down to is that Nickelodeon promoted the hell out of Power Rangers and Cartoon Network has really screwed around with Thundercats. The series has been MIA for months and when it does finally return they give it a new timeslot on a different day just a week later.
Tcats dead?.... crap.
I may need some middleman help. Can you guys still find the 4" Wily kids anywhere? I was waiting for possible 6" scaled versions but if the line is near death, I'd rather not wait.
I could return the favour for Japanese toys if anyone needs something.
I've seen them showing up again at TRU if that helps.
Power Rangers Samurai is a long running line, though... it had ample shelf space in pretty much every retail store from the start, whereas I only initially saw Thundercats in TRU and Kmart, sparingly at Walmart, and eventually Target.
I hear you though, Nick plays Power Rangers Samurai a lot. Looking it up on my directv app, I see 70 listings for Power Rangers Samurai and 15 for Power Rangers Super Samurai, compared to 8 for Thundercats (and 8 for Young Justice) over the next 2 weeks (this includes both HD and SD channels).

Dare doesn't live in the US.
YJ has been listed among the returning series on all the coverage I've seen of CN's announcements for the 2012 season:

Just a couple examples. None show Tcats, though.
