Hoping to find something under $200 with good color and the ability to zoom in and out at minimum. I have an ipod for games and music and what not so this could be just for reading as long as I can load it with USB or wifi. I'm about to go blind trying to read comics on the ipod screen.

Can you get a used/refurb iPad at that price point?

Or maybe try a Kindle Fire? I think it's around that price?

I don't have a lot of tablet experience other than iPads, but I can heartily recommend them for reading comics.

I've been using my ASUS Transformer TF-101 (not the newer "Prime" one.) You might be able to get a used/refurbished one kind of cheap. This is one of the cheaper (yet still good) android tablets on the market and refurbished it'd still run out over $250. It's a little heavy and awkward (rounded back) but for the most part I can read comics on it without TOO much trouble. Now, I use ACV to read the comics which I download from ... less-than-legit sources ... so it's not uncommon for there to be problems reading a comic that cause the app to crash. But if you plan on using something official like the comixology app you shouldn't have those problems.

I need up scoring an IPad 2. Probably means I won't be getting much for toys for the rest of the year but so far it's worth it. Ive been doing all my web surfing on it as well as reading comics on the cloud reader and am very happy with it thus far.
