So, I saw the new Jazwares Hanna-Barbera line.

My goodness, what a disaster those are.

The sculpts are actually quit good, I think, but they look like they were painted with a fingertip. Also, what on Earth is going on with the arrangement of the articulation? Ball shoulders with elbows that can only bend in toward the body? Whuh...?

Shame.

A buddy told me the plastic on space ghost was terrible and rubbery too just to make things even worse.

TRU in Yonkers, NY, but they didn't have Space Ghost.

Where else are these gonna be? TRU .... Target? Walmart? Want a Huckleberry Hound and Hong Kong Fooey so maybe should wait to see them in person before buying.

Pretty sure Space ghost is one per case..of course. The piant apps are so so but at $10.99 it's a good deal for Space Ghost atleast.

Saw them both. Definitely wait until you see them in person. The paint on the ones I saw looked like it was applied in great haste, possibly while running through a forest.

I am so glad I wasn't taking a drink while I read that sentence!

I read that line to my wife. She chuckled, then started laughing harder.

"Picturing it, aren't you?"
"Yes I am.."

Actually they are all two per case. I bought both Space Ghosts and no none else due to a low cash flow right now. I went back later the next week and they only had two Hong Kong Fueys.

I'm waiting for the 6" Rosie. The smaller figures are cool but not as good as the others.

And, My opened Space Ghost was painted after the artist finished his/her run.

From the sounds of it. It might really be a disaster.

Haven't seen SG, but got Phooey. The joints look like some early experiment in articulation from the 50's or something, and the plastic is one step short of goo. I've seen images of Space Ghost, and the wonky hips and general look of the figure makes me think of "cheap bootleg from Abu Dhabi." I was going to look for this, but I'd have a hard time justifying the price, cheap as it is.

Saw the plush Captain Caveman today, voice seemed off, and does it not yell "Captain Caaaaavemaaaaaaaan!"? I pulled the string 10 times wanting to hear it before putting it back.

That Captain Caveman plush looks, as my grandmother used to say, like the rats were sucking on it.

Unga munga, sound like power failure....

Hard to believe they'd make him without his signature phrase, though. It's a shame, I'd really like to get some high quality HB figures and such, having grown up with many of the characters in question. Sadly, these don't meet the "high quality" criteria (they'd have a hard time meeting the "mediocre" criteria).

I like the 3 inch Captain Caveman though, he turned out well. And now I'm probably going to ruin that illusion and see how on-model he is since I haven't seen the cartoon in forever...

Still not bad! Capt. Caveman is a winner.

Found Captain Caveman at TRU today, also saw Secret Squirrel.

I like the Funko Force Captain Caveman better. The articulation seam across the middle kills the Jazwares figure, for me.

I saw the plush talking Fred Flintstone yesterday and it may as well have been my voice coming out of it as much as it sounded like Alan Reed.

Man Huckleberry and HK Phooey couldn't stand if their lives depended on it. Constant shelf nose dives.
